R. Hal Baker, M.D.

R. Hal Baker, M.D. FACP, serves as senior vice president for clinical improvement and chief information officer for WellSpan Health, a regional integrated health system that serves four counties in central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland. In this capacity, Dr. Baker leads quality and safety initiatives as well as the use of information technology as a means to create a reliable patient experience across the health system’s hospitals, physician practices and ambulatory facilities.

Dr. Baker joined WellSpan York Hospital in June 1995 as associate program director of the WellSpan York Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program. He has also been the lead physician at Apple Hill Internal Medicine, which is part of the WellSpan Medical Group, since 2001. Dr. Baker came to York after completing a general internal medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology and a medical degree from Cornell University.

Janis L. Curtis, MSPH, MA, is the Associate Director of Clinical Data Research Networks (CDRNs) in the Office of Research Informatics at Duke Health. Ms. Curtis has responsibility for establishing and managing the technical infrastructure and processes at Duke needed to respond to requests for clinical data and/or for recruitment of co-investigators and study participants is support of clinical research. Duke is actively involved in two CDRNs. She is a long-time Duke employee and has held a variety of senior IT management and leadership positions including Business Relationship Management Executive for Outpatient Services and Associate CIO for Entity Support where she was responsible for IT operations at Duke Regional Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, Duke Home Care and Hospice, and the Duke Primary Care. As Duke’s representative, Ms. Curtis has served on several State of North Carolina committees related to HIE governance, development of HIT Strategic Plan, etc. Prior to joining the Duke executive management team, she was the Deputy Commissioner and Executive Director for the NC Medical Database Commission. She currently serves as Chair of the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Davies Enterprise Committee and in 2013 received the HIMSS John A Page Outstanding Service Award. She served on the North Carolina Healthcare Information and Communications Alliance (NCHICA) Board of Directors and on several NCHICA Committees. Ms. Curtis received her MSPH with concentration in health policy and management from the Harvard School of Public Health and her MA in Liberal Studies from Duke University.

Douglas A. Gentile, M.D., MBA

Douglas A. Gentile, MD, MBA

Dr. Gentile is the Chief Medical Information Officer at the University of Vermont Medical Center. In that role, he is responsible for all clinical application, business intelligence, and project portfolio management. Dr. Gentile did his undergraduate training at Duke University and received his MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Following residency training at the University of Rochester, he joined the faculty at Vanderbilt University in Emergency Medicine. In 1991, he was awarded a Hartford Foundation Fellowship to study health policy, and received a master’s degree in business administration from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. In 1995, Dr. Gentile joined Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, where he was the Chief Medical Officer leading clinical product strategy until 2013. Dr. Gentile continues to practice Emergency Medicine at the UVM Medical Center.

Lindsey P. Jarrell, FACHE

Lindsey is the CEO and Founder of Healthlink Advisors. He has built a career working as a consultant and chief information officer in some of the nation's largest health care delivery systems.

He enjoys mentoring top talent to be increasingly accountable for large-scale operations and executing complex plans. He is respected for his natural leadership style and his sometimes "witty" communications and finds great satisfaction in cultivating a friendly, high-performing work environment.

Lindsey has a genuine belief that healthcare can be improved and has been recognized by various organizations for his work including CHIME, AHA, InformationWeek and CIO Magazine. Lindsey co-authored a book titled Consumer-Centric Healthcare: Opportunities and Challenges for Providers published by Health Administration Press and earned his B.S. and M.S in Health Administration Services from Auburn University and Nova Southeastern University. Lindsey is a member of HIMSS and ACHE.

Greg Jones

Greg Jones

Greg Jones is currently the President and Co-Founder of the HCI Group, a Jacksonville, Florida based Healthcare IT consulting company with operations in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and the Middle East. HCI has been recognized by KLAS, and by INC Magazine (2013 & 2014) as the 3rd & 13th fastest growing company in America across all sectors, and has around 450 employees worldwide.

Greg has a strong international healthcare IT background through his role as United Kingdom Director for TeleTracking Technologies, a company specializing in workflow automation for hospitals. Other experience prior to entering the healthcare information technology industry has included serving as an operations executive for a large multinational retailer. Greg is also a partner in Ocenture, an Inc 500 technology consulting firm, also based in Jacksonville.

Greg was born and raised in Port Talbot, Wales and graduated from the University of Warwick and the University of Bristol in the U.K., holding both bachelor’s and master’s level degrees. He was also the President of the Student Union at the University of Warwick. Greg is based in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife and his six young children.
